I decided to start my travels around Asia in the Philippines, what a start: Typhoon Hagupit (locally known as ‘Ruby’) came in just a few days after my arrival and limited our diving operations. As the country had suffered last year from the devastating effects of Typhoon Haiyan, everything was on high alert and evacuations where in place…Luckily it lost strength on the last day before landfall and it was not as strong as last years Typhoon…I hope in the future this country will be spared from natural events like this and they will recover and learn from their previous experiences…

These are a few underwater images I have been able to take during some of our dives to Balicasag Island which has also suffered from the Typhoon Haiyan in 2013…
